About Us

We Are Passionate Mathematics Teacher Educators 


We are two educators passionate about mathematics education, committed to making a positive impact on students’ lives.
This channel grew from our shared desire to support teachers with FREE, research-based resources that build confidence and enthusiasm for teaching math. With extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development, and instructional design, we create engaging and accessible materials for K–9 learners.

Dr. Tammy Kraft holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education Leadership and International Education from George Mason University and has dedicated her career to enhancing mathematics education globally. With years of experience as a mathematics teacher and teacher educator, Dr. Kraft has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by both teachers and students in the classroom.

After retiring from public school teaching, she transitioned to a role as a teacher educator and consultant, focusing on bridging the gap between research in mathematics education and its practical application in classrooms. Her work emphasizes equipping educators with strategies that strengthen instruction and foster meaningful student engagement with mathematical concepts. Tammy is currently an adjunct professor at George Mason University, teaching courses in Gifted Education.

She currently lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, and when not teaching or consulting, can be found on a hiking trail somewhere around the world. 

Dr. Stephanie Sigmon is currently a school-based mathematics specialist in Fairfax County Public Schools in Alexandria, VA, at a Title I school. She has been working in education for over 25 years. Twelve of those years, she taught elementary and middle schools across the states of Virginia, Florida, and Georgia. For the past 13 years, she has been a district and school-based mathematics specialist.

She is an adjunct professor at George Mason University, teaching the mathematics methods course in the departments of Special Education and Elementary Education. Her research interests are in strength-based approaches in mathematics instruction to support both general and special education teachers. Stephanie earned her doctorate in 2024 from George Mason University. She also earned her Educational Specialist degree in Education from the University of Central Florida, as well as a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Florida.

​She currently lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and Teddy, her rescue Pit Bull.
